Mrs. Claus, Santa and an overgrown biker elf. Some of the Toy Run procedes went to Healthy Families at the Verde Valley Medical Center and provided a Gifts to underpriveliged children of the families they serve.
VVTRXXIII is now in the books. More than 400 participants raised almost $18,000.00 to help underprivileged children in the Verde Valley of Arizona have a brighter Christmas
VVTRXXIV will take place on Sunday, November 23, 2008. This event is open to all motorcycles and hot-rods. Registration fee is $20.00 plus a new unwrapped toy. Sign-ups will be in the parking lot of Wal*Mart in Cottonwood, Arizona, between 8:30 and 10:00 am. At 10 am, there will be a Bike Blessing and then all bikes and Hot-Rods will line up for the parade through Cottonwood and Clarkdale and continuing through the Verde Valley. The run will conclude at The FULL MOON SALOON in the Village of Oak Creek with live music by "HAVE MERCY", food, a Bike and Car Show, raffles and vendors.
The public is invited to the Full Moon Saloon from 12:30 on, with admission being one new, unwrapped toy. Meal tickets and TEE shirts may be purchased there.
By 5:00 PM or so, everyone will be ready to go home knowing that through their efforts, many hundreds of Verde Valley children will have a brighter Holiday in 2008!
