Mrs. Claus, Santa and an overgrown biker elf. Some of the Toy Run procedes went to Healthy Families at the Verde Valley Medical Center and provided a Gifts to underpriveliged children of the families they serve.
VVTRXXIII is now in the books. At present (11/22/07), more than 400 participants raised almost $18,000.00 to help underprivileged children in the Verde Valley of Arizona have a brighter Christmas
VVTRXXIV will take place on Sunday, November 23, 2008. This event is open to all motorcyles and hot-rods. Sign-ups will be in the parking lot of Wal*Mart in Cottonwood, Arizona, between 8:30 and 10:00 am. At 10 am, there will be a Bike Blessing and then all bikes and Hot-Rods will line up for the parade through Cottonwood and Clarkdale and continuing through the Verde Valley. The run will conclude at a DESTINATION THAT IS YET TO BE DETERMINED with live music, food, a Bike and Car Show, raffles and vendors.
The public is invited to the UN-DETERMINED LOCATION from 12:30 on, with admission being one new, unwrapped toy. Meal tickets and TEE shirts may be purchased there.
By 5:00 PM or so, everyone will be ready to go home knowing that through their efforts, many hundreds of Verde Valley children will have a brighter Holiday in 2008!
